EASY PARTY HAIR

While I'm not usually one to give into the pressure that surrounds NYE (no, really) I have to admit I've been planning my hair & beauty look way in advance this time (I'll be sharing my fave Holiday make-up soon!). Since I don't have super long hair and I'm clearly not a hair style expert, I prefer something easy that's still different from my everyday hair routine. Sooo, I opted for beachy waves with a sleek side part, to make it more festive and chique. These are the super simple steps I followed:

EASY PARTY HAIR

  1. Wash your hair the usual way and dry it in a way that your natural texture is enhanced (my hair is a bit wavy by nature). I used the new Dyson Supersonic hair dryer that comes with a diffuser (a kind of funnel-shaped piece that you can place on top of the dryer) that distributes the air that's blown into your hair so that it gets more volume and no frizz.
  2. Roughly comb through your hair with a big brush (I love this ceramic paddle brush from Moroccanoil) and create a side part. I don't create the side part up until this point, because it adds more volume if you first dry it in a middle part and then swoop the hair to one side.
  3. Flatten the top part of your hair to make it more sleek and less poofy.
  4. Finish with the Shu Uemura Sheer Lacquer hair spray to keep everything into place.
