HOW TO DRESS FOR WORK DURING A HEAT WAVE

When it’s sticky and hot out, it can be a bit tricky to come up with outfits that defy the heat (hotpants! bikinis!) but also make you feel comfortable to sit through a meeting (no hotpants! no bikinis!). And because we sadly do have to go to work on days that call for some serious pool time: jumpsuits, culottes, and maxi skirts to the rescue! Stay cool everyone! XO Sofie

JUMPSUIT

There's nothing like a one-piece to make dressing for a day full of meetings easier. No need to worry about matching your bottoms with your top, just add a few cute accessories and you're good to go!

Zara jumpsuit
Jimmy Choo scarf
Chloé alphabet ring
Mango pouch
Sophia Webster espadrilles
OPI 'It's a Boy!' nail polish

MAXI SKIRT

If you're looking for the perfect style that can seamlessly transition from a work day to a party night, a maxi skirt is your best friend. There's something inherently festive about this particular piece, and while it may seem a little bit out there, I say just go with it, 'cause there's nothing like a little sparkle to fight off the Monday blues, right?

J.Crew maxi skirt
Ilia 'Tenderly' blush
H&M sunnies
& Other Stories sandals
H&M crop top
COS foldable clutch

CULOTTES

Culottes are one of my favorite current trends, because they are soooo versatile. I think they are the ultimate chique piece, that goes with just about everything: an oversized boyfriend shirt, sleek blouse, or tank top - it'll all work! If you throw in your favorite pair of heels you're instantly ready to get whatever it is you want from your boss, because this outfit (in which you effortlessly pull off a bucket bag with cat ears) definitely says: girl bo$$$.
