Today we're starting this new series that rounds up our favourite happenings in the world of fashion, beauty, and other awesome things! :) Keeping up with the hottest fashion trends and obsessions is definitely one of my favourite things to do (I'm such a nerd, scrolling through all the articles and fashion sources I can get my hands on first thing in the morning), so I can't wait to share this with you all. And this week has been a particularly great one, with a wrap-up of 2016 (yes, Kylie Jenner is not even 20 and richer than we'll ever be - thanks for reminding us, Forbes!) and the exciting anticipation of a new year (the Winter Fashion Weeks are coming up! Kim K posted her very first selfie of 2017!). Also high on our list this week: the presentation of PANTONE's colour of 2017 (it's, eh, a bit edgy), a very on trend hair style, and the accidental (?) leaking of what could be the most amazing collab of the year!

Sooo, in keeping with its annual tradition, PANTONE announced the colour of 2017: Greenery! And it's green alright. I have to say I wasn't all that surprised, having witnessed the green obsession of Pucci, Kenzo and Balenciaga on the runways in September, but I guess wearing this type of green is just something I'm not naturally (ha!) drawn to. If you're in for wearing the hottest colour of the year, but aren't sure how to incorporate it into your outfit, just keep these 2 tips in mind:

  1. KEEP IT SUBTLE: There's no denying that green is a very outspoken shade, so if you don't want to look like Kermit, a subtle green detail (such as on these super cute Aquazzura flats (currently on sale)) is the way to go.
  2. A SOPHISTICATED CUT: If you do like to go big and bold (and you know you do), opt for a piece with a super sophisticated cut and flowy fabric (such as these amazing Etro pants, that I've had a crush on since forever (and that are also on sale now!)).

I've been contemplating growing out my hair for a while, but when I saw these gorgeous blunt cuts on Jennifer Lawrence and Lea Seydoux I just couldn't resist... So I chopped off 15 cm this week, and haven't regretted it one bit! I love the idea of a short cut for Winter, paired with white knits and a bright red lip. So sophisticated, right? People always say that short hair isn't so versatile, but I think there are still so many options: from playing around with a side vs middle part, to making a low bun - I can't wait to experiment with this length! :)

You guys, two of my most favourite brands out there, the cult streetwear brand Supreme and classic designer House of Louis Vuitton, might be joining forces this year! Rumours started when the LV artistic director posted a pic on Instagram with a Supreme smiley sticker on top of the iconic LV monogram print - he deleted it soon after, but the all-seeing eye of the web had already picked it up of course. Meanwhile, a model posted a white sweater with the 2 brands' logos, allegedly snapped at a LV casting. The probable collab is especially remarkable since the two brands have been kind of at war since Supreme launched a skate deck back in 2000, covered with the LV logo (and the latter was not amused). May their reconciliation serve as major 2017 inspo! O, and keep your eyes on the web, because if the rumours are true, these pieces will sell out in a heartbeat for sure!

Ooh ik ben super blij om te horen dat een kort kapsel een trend wordt! Ik heb heel dunne blonde haren en vind het zo jammer dat ik geen lang kapsel kan hebben. Dus dit is echt een opkikker, dankjewel! Xoxo
