I probably don't have to explain to you all what it meant for me when I was recently given the opportunity to collaborate with the House of Chanel. For as long as I can remember, the famous double C logo has been engraved into the fashion side of my brain, taking up loooots of space with its numerous iconic pieces. And so the theme of this amazing project was kind of a given from the start, focusing on Chanel's most recent interpretations of their best known signature pieces. I've had so much fun shooting these little treasures on different locations around the world, and was amazed with how easy it was to style pieces with such a strong heritage in a current way, and make them my own. I guess this is about as timeless as fashion gets...

First up is a true classic: the little black dress! Given that I named my book after this staple in every woman's wardrobe, it's probably pretty clear how I feel about it: a LBD that fits your body type is one of the most versatile pieces out there, that can be dressed up or down in endless ways. For this shoot, which we did on one of the cutest public basketball courts in NYC, I thought it'd fun to style it in a pretty preppy way, that contrasted nicely with our from-the-hood surroundings. And the best thing? Pairing this outfit with sneakers didn't diminish its chique appearance one bit, showing that you don't have to be afraid to wear comfy flats to your next big event. :)

Stay tuned for the next one: the iconic Chanel bag!
