I warned you before that I was going to go a little crazy with the Holiday traditions this year, now that we have our baby boy, and it just makes sense to dress him up in mini Christmas outfits. :) So when I heard about the Santa lap appearance at the iconic Galeries Lafayette in Paris, I naturally had to check it out! Though I had come across many pretty frightening stories of little ones completely freaking out at the sight of a tall strange bearded man (who can blame them?), I just couldn't help myself. So we gave our little man his afternoon bottle, put him in his fanciest outfit (with mini bow!), and prayed for good vibes only. :)

The Galeries really outdid themselves this year with the most colourful theme of Le Noël Spectacular Spectacular, or a fairground vibe resulting in the most gorgeous Holiday windows and a huge candy-filled X-mas tree & ceiling. After gazing at all the pretty colours (so pleasing for little eyes! :)) it was time to meet Santa! And you guys, I was not prepared for this much cuteness! As we were cheering him on from the sidelines, Gabriel seemed totally unbothered, even enjoying himself on Santa's cosy warm lap. I was so ridiculously proud of him, and totally took home one of those cheesy candy cane-rimmed prints of his best picture (so hard to choose!). Though I was pretty startled with how big he already seemed on Santa's lap, I'd love to make this an annual family tradition, to see how much he grows every year, and to celebrate beautiful Paris, where Marcio & I met 11 years ago. :)

Did you take your little ones to meet up with Santa? Did you also get super excited about it? :)
