Hello from super sunny Paris!! You guys, I honestly can't remember the last time the weather was this amazing in Paris! I swear it 100% influenced my outfit choice for the Dior Couture FW18-19 show haha. We arrived in Paris for couture week last week and it has been sunny and hot (30°C!) all.the.time. It really made very show even better!
Couture week is one of my favourite fashion weeks always, and I couldn't wait to pick out my outfit for the Dior show, because I've been loving every single creation Dior's power woman Maria Grazie Chiuri has been creating. Naturally I couldn't resist this LPD (little pink dress) as soon as I spotted it in the showroom. The cut-out shoulder gave it a bit of a sexy touch, complementing the stern fabric and cut. To add more playfulness I went with matching pink sunnies (aren't they the best?), metallic heels and a signature monogram Dior pouch.
The Dior team had transformed the Musée Rodin for the occasion into an all-white oasis of Dior sample models. So genius! It was the perfect backdrop for a mostly muted FW18-19 couture collection, with lots of nude coloured flowy dresses with a touch of gold, embroidery, and a pop of pink (also amazing on darker skin tones, as seen above). A nice change of the usual over-the-top couture creations, and remarkably wearable too! I mean, who wouldn't want to go to her bestie's wedding in a golden V-neck suit?
Thanks so much for having me, Dior! Can't wait for the next one! :)
