Though lots of people don't see the point, I've always been a big fan of a mini Winter getaway! Especially when it's dark & cold outside, it can be so refreshing to have a change of scenery and take a break from your daily routine, don't you think? So when we woke up last week with a little cabin in the woods on our minds it didn't take us long to pack our bags and book a short stay in the beautiful Belgian Ardennes.
In my experience, spontaneous weekend getaways are the most relaxing ones, when you only have to take your favourite cosy knitwear and lots of cocoa. :) Lugging around tons of beauty products is obviously not an option because going back to nature should only ask for a great CC cream, a pinky manicure (that you can tackle in advance) and your fave wintery fragrance of course! Unlike any other beauty hack, perfume can instantly bring you in the right mood, so for this trip I was looking for that one fragrance that would complement our cosy cabin just perfectly. :) Marc Cain recently launched its first fragrance line Mysteriously, with 3 different scents in pretty shades: dusty pink (fruity oriental), light blue (floral oriental), and deep green (woody chypre). The last one (no. 3), including musk, tonka bean and vanilla, seemed ideal to bring along and to pair well with my dreamy chiffon dress and cosy knitwear. :) Needless to say our entire trip was spent cosying up around the stove with hot chocolate and taking long walks in the fresh snow. Sooo restorative!
Are you a fan of Winter getaways? Don't you think they're the perfect way to cosy up for the Holidays?
