One of the many perks of Summer is to catch up on some good old-fashioned reading. I seriously think there's nothing better than to make your favorite ice cold drink, take out your biggest sunnies, and kick it back outdoors with a huge stack of inspiring literature. I listed 6 of this season's most amazing reads, for you to enjoy whilst tanning on the beach, on your way to a sunny destination, or late afternoon hammock-lounging. XO Sofie
/ Perdiz Magazine #6: This bilingual Spanish/English magazine deserves praise for its 100% anti-haters content, exclusively focusing on happy things. Also: their coverage of the badass hot pink biker gang 'Hustle' is just everything!
/ The Gentlewoman #13: I always run to the store whenever a new issue of The Gentlewoman is launched, and since Kirsten Dunst is one of my all-time girl crushes, this is a particularly good one. I love their respectful Q&A's with celebrities and fresh layout.
/ Little Black Book by Sofie Valkiers: I wrote my book with only 1 goal in mind: to inspire people to make the most of everyday life, with just a few little adjustments. I focused on timeless inspiring content, fueled by my forever love of fashion and all things beauty, and I hope it may stimulate you to celebrate life this Summer too!
/ CR Fashion Book #8: When Carine Roitfeld left Vogue Paris in 2011 the entire fashion world held its breath to see what she would do next. Needless to say, her namesake magazine that she introduced short after is incredible. It's definitely a must for every fashion lover, including edgy photo shoots that will make your heart sing.
/ A Kitchen in France by Mimi Thorisson: I've been following Mimi Thorisson's amazing career from the very beginning, and was super thrilled when she launched her first cookbook some time ago. Up to this day, her seasonal recipes continue to be a year-round inspo for the most delicious dishes. I mean: recipes called 'pear flognarde' and 'apple tart with orange flower water' cannot be but irresistible, right?
/ Behind the Runway by Matt Lever: I'm a huge fan of behind-the-scenes reports of the fashion weeks, and Matt Lever's snaps are particularly awesome in showing the true craziness that takes place. This book summarizes all his highlights of the past 17 years, including sneak peeks of iconic shows by Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Balmain, and Fendi.
