TAUPE NAILS FABY REMEMBER ME

With a lifelong obsession with Japan (who remembers our epic trip to Tokyo and Kyoto?), it's probably no surprise that I've been on board with the kimono trend from the very beginning. It's been around for a while now, but I never get tired of it, especially since there are so many ways to wear it. A kimono dress is actually one of my favourite pieces for those transitional months that take us from Summer to Fall. So if you're looking to adopt the kimono trend right now, these are my 3 easy tricks to do so (featuring my beloved sunny NYC in the background! ;)):

1 / ANKLE LENGTH WITH A SIDE OF SLITS

The ankle length is without a doubt the no. one fit for the upcoming season (and spotted a lot on the SS18 NYFW runways too!), and if you're anxious to end up with a granny effect, just make sure to go with a piece that has little slits on the sides, such as this one that I fell instantly in love with at Enes. It will make moving around so much easier, and will let the fluent fabric (another aspect of the kimono that I so adore!) move around freely so that it's flattering for your body in every way.

2 / POPS OF COLOUR, PLEASE

If you want to update any look for a new season, just add some accessories in on trend shades, such as a mustard triangle bag (literally goes with everything!), matching sunnies, and a big golden statement ring. Perfect to keep your sunny mood alive too, even on those dreary pre-Fall days. :)

3 / V-SHAPED SHOES

Apart from strategic slits, pointy V-shaped slingbacks are a great way to make a maxi piece more sexy. And for those who are all about the details, a little anklet to finish it off never hurt anyone either!

Are you still loving the kimono trend as much as I do? What are your favourite ways to wear it? :)

I realy love the kimono dress. Black always looks good, but with these applications it looks magnificent.
