One of my favorite shows during Milan Fashion Week was the one of Missoni. The backstage atmosphere was a bit hectic ( some models were running late from the previous show) but I really enjoyed to be a part of it and see the total looks come together. Oh, and OMG, I really want one of those bath robes that all the models were wearing... so divine!!! Anyway, first of all, let’s talk about the make-up look. The skin was super dewy with a bit of color on the cheeks ( MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork). All the focus was on the eyes: a hard black eyeliner (Black Track Gel Eye Liner, inspired by the Japanese girls) along the upper lash and into the inner corners. To add a bit of sparkle the MAC make-up artists used a shimmery silver eyeliner to finish off the look.
The collection itself was really quite unexpected for me. I was expecting the classic Missoni chevron print and sexy designs but actually it was quite subtle and exotic. The four elements – earth, wind, fire and water – were the inspiration for this collection, which translated into thigh-high slit pencil skirts ( a bit like sarongs), Japanese pop prints in bold colours, flowy dresses and graphic shapes ( waves and birds). Let me know your thoughts about it!
