ago

It's time for part II of my Marrakech travel guide! :) (find part I right here) During the second part of our stay in sunny Marrakech we mostly went back to nature, to blissfully relax and take in the stunning palm tree and Atlas mountain views. O and we squeezed in some shopping along the way of course! Read along to find out all the details...

FAVE PLACE TO STAY // FAIRMONT ROYAL PALM HOTEL

After our stay in the city center, we wanted to go back to nature and enjoy a couple of days of complete quiet (with a little colourful break in between; see below). The Fairmont Royal Palm hotel was just so perfect for that! With a stunning view of the Atlas mountains and surrounded by nothing but greenery, it was an oasis of piece & quiet. After our daily breakie (tajine all day, every day :)), Gabriel & I took a little walk in the olive gardens - they were my favourite. Then it was mostly pool & lunch time, straight to dinner haha. It was so blissful, just what we needed!

FAVE THING TO DO & EAT // THE SOUKS

One sunny day we headed back to the center to explore the souks of Marrakech. I love, love, love shopping for homeware on the local markets, especially for their world famous carpets and straw baskets (you don't want to know how we packed for our flight back home!). And of course I couldn't resist scoring matching baby-&-mama babouche loafers! If you're looking for a snack in between, don't hesitate to try out the food stalls on the streets; they're usually so good! I adore all the spices and local delicacies, such as dried dates and candied fruits, so we ate a ton. It's kind of a no brainer, but a visit to Marrakech without exploring the souks is unthinkable!

What's your favourite thing to do in Marrakech? Any particular spots in the souks that are a must-do? Find part I of my Marrakech travel guide right here!
