There are many reasons why Paris is one of my favourite cities in the world (the food! the stubborn French! the couture! the sexy language!), and after our most recent visit, I'm happy to add its family friendliness to the list. After our dreamy Eiffel tower picnic and afternoon at the Eiffel tower carrousel, we had another amazing day of enjoying Paris in Fall with our little family of 3, including hot apple cider, crêpes & and a sparkly date night.
We started the day with sleeping in (o the glory!) and enjoying our morning routine of bottle, cuddles, and getting dressed (not our boy's favourite activity, ha). And how to better enjoy Paris in Fall than with traditional hot crêpes, right? We headed to one of my fave spots in Le Marais, Lulu La Nantaise. They have an amazing range of sweet & hearty crêpes, but I always end up with the same one (do you have that too? :)), served with almonds, beurre salée, and crème fraîche. So good! We of course ordered hot apple cider to go with it, because it's such a sweet nostalgic Fall drink. It was one of those gorgeous late mornings, with deliciously crisp air but still warm enough to park ourselves outside and gossip about the hipsters passing by. :) Gabriel was in a great mood, despite his hangry face in one of these pictures and burpee blanket-covered outfit (totally cracks me up). I love our little explorer so much, I can't even describe it!
We went back to the hotel for naps, and in the evening Marcio & I went on a little date night. Though it was ridiculously early, I couldn't help but feel so happy & giddy when we walked by the iconic Place Vendôme in our fancy outfits (can you believe how amazing this ombre Dior dress is??). Sometimes all it takes are some good old classics to make for the perfect day.
What are your favourite family things to do on a city trip? Are you also sometimes fully on board with the clichés? :)
