One of the things that I wondered about before having our boy was what it would be like to travel with him - I mean, for real. Yes, we wanted to explore new places with him and transfer our love of exploring the world, but would he be up for that? Also, what kind of activities are actual fun for a little baby, who's mood is pretty unpredictable and schedule kind of fixed? Paris seemed like the perfect place to find out, since it's one of our all-time favourite cities, and not too far from our hometown Antwerp (will share my tips to survive long car rides with a mini soon! ;)). So we packed up our things, and off we went!
At only 4 months old, Gabriel already has a mind of his own. I always joke that he has inherited the Brazilian temperament from his papa, because if he's not in the mood, he's just really not in the mood. :) And unlike some other babies, he can voice his opinion pretty loudly - like siren mode. So I was a bit hesitant about how he would feel about a totally new environment and disruption of his usual routine. But guess what? He looooved it! I was so happy & proud to find out that he basically just adores to be right in the middle of the action; as long as he has enough on his hands, he's a happy little monkey. So needless to say that both our Eiffel tower picnic and little break at the Eiffel tower carrousel were a big hit, because there's nothing like pretty colours and twinkling lights to keep a baby mind occupied! We took a few rides (until mama felt nauseous :)), enjoyed our snacks (cotton candy for me, milk for him), and just hung out. It was such a sweet afternoon, and one I'll think of with so much love years from now.
What are your favourite spots around the world, or on-the-go activities for little ones? I'd so love to hear! :)
