Ironically, after spotting all the yummy SS18 trends on the runways in NYC and Paris, I felt myself longing for Fall ever since getting back home. Crisp air, deep red falling leaves, pumpkin lattes, and heavy knits: bring it on! And speaking of Fall knits: there's a new on trend way to style your favourite cosy knitted pieces, and it's surprisingly sexy/sophisticated. In other words: the perfect style to rock business meetings and fancy lunch dates with your besties alike - and it only takes 3 little tricks...

1 / NOT A DOUBT ON YOUR MIND: PATENT LEATHER

Patent leather is one of this (and next!) season's biggest trends, and it's the easiest, sexiest and most sophisticated way to spice up your cosy knits. I fell for this sultry red midi skirt as soon as I spotted it at Enes, because isn't it just the perfect shade of red for Fall? :) Go for a high-waisted version that lets you snag your knitwear in at the waist, because it will make you look that much taller.

2 / RUFFLES MUCH

The largest pitfall of cosy knits is that they can look a bit, eh, too cosy. Luckily, there are a few ways to make your heavy knits look more playful and overall interesting, and they're all about the cut: cute buttons on the shoulders or full ruffled sleeves are perfect to break up the monotonous vibe of a knitted piece, just like that!

3 / THE DEETS

And then, as always, it's just a matter of finishing with the right accessories. There's nothing that a pair of fun sunnies can't lighten up, not to mention the effect of a mustard structured bag. Done & done!

What's your favourite way to style your Fall knits? Are you into the patent leather trend that's everywhere right now? :)
