I'm probably starting to sound like a broken record, but you guys, the birth is getting so close!! When I went to visit my gynaecologist this week, she told me that our boy is fully ready to come, and it sort of hit me that it could be any day now. Eeks! It's the weirdest feeling ever, but I feel as ready and excited as can be. For now, I'm mostly happy that these 3 pretty things distracted my mind a little bit from labor and packing my hospital bag (will share soon!): the most stylish celeb airport look that I'm planning to adopt for my next trip, a new shoe trend that will spice up your closet in a subtle-but-definitely-there way, and the gorgeous no make-up look from Dior's Cruise 2018 show - to copy right now. Hope everyone will have a sunny weekend!
It probably sounds a bit weird given that I travel so much, but it actually took me quite a while to establish an airport look that really works. You obviously want to look stylish, but also don't want to be lugging around heavy bags in sky-high (ha!) heels. On top of that, I'm always super cold in planes, and I want my body to feel like it has lots of breathing room. To avoid ending up in oversized sweats and Ugg boots, I always use a nice pair of cropped jeans as a basis, and pair this with a comfy shirt or light sweater and oversized jacket or cardigan - 'cause layers, plus opting for a cropped cut will make you look taller and balance out whatever loose layer you put on top (also seen here). I then like to add a pair of oversized sunnies and sneakers or comfy midi-heeled booties, that'll make you feel put-together upon arrival. I have to say I loved, loved, loved Elle Fanning's take on this airport look when she arrived in Cannes earlier this week; totally bookmarking her sweet blouse-and-dark-boyfriend-denim combo, with matching denim tote bag and pointy kitten heels!
Given that I have a major thing for shoes, I'm always happy when a new fun twist to regular styles is presented. And accent heels are just perfect to add a little something to a structured outfit - you know, to spice up your meeting-appropriate outfits. And while I still like the metallic versions that were super popular last year, I'm particularly into the wooden accent heels that are IT this season (this affordable grey pair from Zara and asymmetrical mules from Mercedes Castillo are wish list material for sure!).

I've always been a huge fan of Dior Beauty, and their Belgian creative director Peter Philips, who is one of the sweetest and most talented people in the business. I'm without exception a fan of his runway beauty looks, but for the past Dior Cruise 2018 show in LA, he really outdid himself with the most gorgeous no make-up look ever (proof of my love of similar looks right here and here). And as it turns out, it's super easy to do yourself! After applying a light foundation or BB cream, use a pinky red lipstick (yes, lipstick!) as a blush and eye shadow by rubbing it onto your finger and gently swiping it on right below the apples of your cheeks and eyelids. Instead of using this tinted lipstick onto your lips, go with a hydrating balm (my all-time fave!). As for mascara, stay clear from fully coating your lashes, but only apply a brown one on the roots of your lashes. Finally, instead of covering up the area between your eyes and cheeks, highlight it! And if you're going to be in humid temperatures (as you often are on vacation), don't be afraid to use powder, as long as you push it in with a puff, to avoid a heavy finish. Et voilà! Can't wait to try this!
