You guys, I.am.so.tired! :) Life with a newborn is no joke, and the short interrupted nights of sleep (3 hours in a row count as bliss!) are starting to kick in hard. Luckily, Marcio's sweet parents arrived this week from Brazil to see their grandson for the very first time, and I can't wait to spend some good old Q-time with the fam over the weekend. Here's hoping that the sun will be out muchos muchos! Meanwhile, this week's round-up of inspiring things is all about the cutest way to dress on those chilly Summer evenings, IKEA's very surprising upcoming collection, and a beauty inspired ode to one of my favourite Summer fruits. Have a good one, everyone!

Sometimes, simple styling tricks are the most genius ones, and since the Belgian weather hasn't been exactly super summer-y these past couple of days, we've had to rely on some pretty clever layers to enjoy our outdoor time! Hoodies are one of this season's biggest trends, but instead of styling the trend the typical way (with denim or track pants), wearing them on top of an unbuttoned shirtdress (as spotted on the Topshop Unique AW17 runway) looks both relaxed & chic, especially when paired with a miniature structured bag in poppy colours, strappy sandals, and iridescent sunnies. Crappy Summer weather vs you: 0-1!

I honestly couldn't believe my eyes when I stumbled upon these new promotional pics from IKEA. Instead of its usual simple Scandinavian styling and designs, the interior design mogul has launched some pretty offbeat pieces this month, including Eastern inspired fluffy carpets, colourful chairs, oversized lamps, and lots of golden accessories (among which a clip-on bulletin board and hourglass with golden beads). So if you were thinking it couldn't get better than Off-White's Virgin Abloh redesigning the iconic blue IKEA bag (keep your eyes out for that one!) or Byredo coming up with some seriously awesome IKEA home fragrances (dito!), think again!

The general attraction of peachy lips, and subsequent current beauty trend, isn't so hard to grasp, because who wouldn't want a fresh shade on their lips, that's as subtle as a good nude, but way more flattering for every skin tone out there? My current fave is M.A.C.'s cremesheen lipstick in Peach Blossom (pictured above), that makes your lips look dewy without looking shiny or cheap. A must-pack for your next trip to the sun!

Hang in there, one day you wíll get to sleep more than 2 hours in a row. We didn't sleep for 9 months (néver longer than 3 hours in a row) and the day he turned 9 months, he slept for 5 or 6 hours and continues to do so. Wish you guys lots of courage.

Our little girl was born june 7th and sleeps sometimes 3h in a row, sometimes 6. If you really are too tired, you can always ask your husband to take care of the baby for 1 night (and you with earplugs, heaven :) ) or let the baby stay overnight at your parents. . Just be patient, it is completely normal that a little baby wakes up at night!

Hi Sofie! Thanks for your encouraging words :) Marcio & I do try to take turns when it comes to the night shifts, but I usually wake up anyway because I constantly feel 'on guard'. The only way to really get a good night of sleep is indeed to have him spend the night at my parents', so we might have to rely on that a bit more. ;) xx big kiss
