This week was a hit even before it begun, because it included my very first runway show post-baby! Needless to say, it was so nice to get back in the game and be a part of the delicious craziness that is Fashion Week. And while it was SO hard to miss our little boy for a couple of days, it made me even more excited for all the adventures to come! Other highlights that make up this week's round-up: hot yellow's worthy successor that was lovingly displayed by countless Haute Couture street style stars, the one magazine that should be on your beach must-reads' list, and the oh-so-romantic accessory that's definitely not for the light-hearted. Have a sunny weekend, everyone!
As far as vibrant monochromes are concerned, yellow is right at the top of the list, but while hot yellow is definitely still happening, right now its mustard counterpart is taking over! Worn by numerous street style stars to attend this week's finest Haute Couture FW17-18 shows, among which superstars such as the gorgeous Karlie Kloss and Céline Dion, it's having a major moment. The thing with these subdued shades (khaki is another one) is that they're so flattering for just about any skin tone, and since they're timeless and sophisticated, they're perfect to add a bit of craziness to, such as a platinum blonde hair colour, hot red lips or iridescent sunnies. Or you can turn it around, and use a little mustard clutch (remember how I styled the one pictured above?) to bring some added brightness to an all-blue outfit. So much fun!
One of my favourite things to do in Summer is flip through newly discovered magazines on the beach, feet in the sand and lollipops at hand. So when I came across this Summer's stunning edition of Unconditional Magazine, I was more than thrilled. It's been rightfully called the 'Céline of magazines', thanks to the classic simplicity that's all over their editorials, showing celebs who have been photographed a gazillion times (looking at you, Bella Hadid!) in yet a totally different way. That's true artistry right there.
One of the most talked about beauty looks from this past Fashion Week have been the over-the-top romantic flower crowns of the Rodarte SS18 show. Whether or not inspired by Queen B's profound love of a good flower fest on top of her head that she displayed a couple of times over the past few months, it was an eye-catching look that left no one unbothered. Hair stylist of the show, Odile Gilbert, revealed to Vogue that the main incentive for the look was that "we need romance more now than ever". And while it may be a stretch to run errands with a bouquet on your head, it could be so much fun for the next Summer wedding you're attending, especially if you go with dainty field flowers, such as pictured above.
