WEEKLY ROUND-UP: V-NECKS, HOT MONOCHROMES & GOOD FOOD

We've arrived in Paris last night, and I couldn't be more excited for all the things we've planned here! Despite the fact that I feel like going to bed around 8pm these days (no kidding!), I feel totally ready to face the FW craziness and fully experience the buzz and creativity that the designers are putting out there. No wonder there were numerous things that inspired me this week, but I managed to narrow it down to these 3: a new super flattering neckline, a smart way to pimp your monochrome pieces, and the 5 ingredients you should always have on hand (spoiler: they include 2 all-time blogger favourites!).

I may not always be the biggest supporter of her hair styles, but other than that, I've had a crush on Zoe Kravitz for as long as I can remember. She's got that inexplicable cool girl-vibe going on, and I would straight kill for her cheekbones. I adored her look for the Saint Laurent show in Paris earlier this week, featuring a casual pair of bf jeans, black patent leather pumps and - the show stopper - a gorgeous top with the most flattering V-shaped neckline. I spotted a very similar one at the show of Jacqemus, paired with cropped trousers and hot pink lips. There's something about this cut that holds the middle between a classic V-line and a bustier, making your upper body (especially the collar bones) look super feminine and irresistible (it kind of reminded me of Diane Kruger's Dior off-the-shoulder dress). Already looking forward to wear these pieces post-baby!

We already knew that monochromes were going to be huge this year, but wearing a total singular coloured look can become a little bit dull. That's why I love this genius styling trick so much: just buy your favourite shoes in 2 different colours, and mix & match them to your liking! I admit it's not super budget friendly, but if you do it with these comfy & Other Stories block heels or No. 21 chunky sneakers, it's definitely worth the investment. And for those who like to go a little bit crazy: these sky-high Giuseppe Zanotti mules are pretty awesome too! Don't be afraid to combine different materials, such as patent leather and velvet, or go with a different finish and clashing colours, such as metallic or yellow & green.

Every year there seems to be a new on trend super food, but this list of essential ingredients that I came across the other day seemed to make a lot of sense. Basically, these would be the 5 things that you should always have on hand: beets, brown rice, lentils, avocado, sweet potato, and kale. I'm actually one of those people who's very intrigued by what's in other people's shopping carts (I know it's weird), so I thought it'd be fun to share my kitchen essentials with you guys soon. For now, if you're stocking up on avocados, you might want to consider making this amazing hair mask. Yummm!
